Is it a Zebra or a Motorola?

Once you've determined that you'll need to go to the manufacturers site and find the OPOS drivers for the device.

It is usually a driver + a OPOS utility all pos equipment runs off OPOS drivers not (windows drivers) Opos drivers usually don't come on a disk so you should be glad you don't have one because you probably would have broken your RMS if you tried.

click start then type UAC

then lower the USER Controls to never notify FIRST

This is technically a scanner is it not.

If you look in your existing program files you should find a folder called OPOS

There is a utility in there to allow you to add devices.

Select a scanner

Then go to the website of the manufacturer and download the OPOS drivers for this device.

install the drivers as administrator by right click on the .exe file (run as administrator)

You will need the device to have a LDN (logical device name) call it: scanner

You will also have an opportunity with in the OPOS utility to: CHECK HEALTH

The device must pass Check Health "OR" you will need to get help /support from whomever made the device.

If it doesn't pass check health you can't add it as a device to RMS until it does.

One it has come back here and update this post and I will help you with the next steps.

If it doesn't pass check health do not ask for additional help here because only the manufacturer can get their device to work.

It is not an RMS problem.

Thanks,

Hope I helped.

Butch
