Specific Command: Delete information in customer email field

I am looking for someone who understands what I would like to do to please help me.

Over the years, the customer email address field at our business has been used for two reasons:

1. Adding the customer's email address

2. Adding notes about customer orders, etc..

Is there a command I can issue within the Microsoft RMS system to delete all information WITHIN the email address field, and ONLY customers' email address fields that do NOT contain an "@" symbol?

This is the only easy way to go about this that I could think of (essentially not doing each customer manually). If you have another idea, please share...

Also, I need something tested and proven working before I run it through my entire customer database please................
