Upgraded my Server PC from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10. --> RMS Admin & Manager works fine.
Cannot connect my old client PC running RMS-POS on Windows 7 Prof.
Reinstalled Microsoft SQL 2005 Backward Compatibility on client
Restarted both PCs. EVERY THING WENT FINE and continued selling for the rest of the day. Turned off both PCs and closed store and went home.
Next morning: Turned on both PCs as usual --> surprise!
Server PC works without any problem on Windows 10. Can logon and find items & run reports on server.
Whereas POS PC on Windows 7 Prof gives an error about 'database connection failure.'
I must fix the problem from the POS PC side because I cannot ring up sales.
Any clues to make the POS PC w/ Windows 7 Prof work without the error!?
